What Waypoint Mentor is
An AI study tutor: voice and text tutoring, flashcards, quizzes, notes, and a grade tracker. It's a study aid, not a substitute for your instructor, and not a guarantee of any particular grade or outcome.
AI-generated content can be wrong
Responses, explanations, practice questions, and marking feedback are generated by an AI model and can be incorrect, incomplete, or out of date. Verify anything that matters (an assignment, an exam answer, a citation) against your course material or instructor before relying on it. We work to make answers accurate and grounded in your own uploaded material, but we don't warrant that every answer is correct.
Academic integrity is on you
How you use what the tutor gives you is your responsibility. Follow your institution's academic integrity policy. Using this app in a way that violates it is between you and your institution, not something we can control or are liable for.
Your account
Keep your login secure and don't share your account. Plans and usage limits are per person. You're responsible for what happens under your account. We can suspend an account that abuses the service (attempting to break rate limits, harassment, illegal content) or violates these terms.
Plans and billing
Free, Plus, and Premium plans have the limits described on the Pricing page. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe and can be canceled anytime from Profile → Manage billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we don't offer refunds for partial months already paid. We may change plan pricing or limits going forward, but we won't change what you've already paid for retroactively.
Your content
You own what you upload and create: course files, notes, flashcards. You're responsible for having the right to upload whatever you upload (your own notes, material you're licensed to use). We only use it to run the product for you, as described in our Privacy policy.
Service availability
We aim for reliable uptime but don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. It's provided "as is." We're not liable for indirect damages (like a missed deadline) arising from an outage or bug, beyond what's required by law.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date; continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the update.
